Fashion PR

Fashion PR Agency in India

Fashion coverage is visual first. Collections, collaborations and designers need strong images and a reason to run now: a show, a season or a cultural moment. Indian PR Distribution (IPRD)® plans fashion PR for designers, labels and D2C brands around those moments.

Who reads it

Who covers fashion, and what each title wants.

Fashion media in India ranges from glossy monthlies to apparel trade journals. A label usually needs both: one for desire, the other for buyers and investors.

Fashion and lifestyle titles

Vogue India, Elle India, Harper's Bazaar India and GQ India plan shoots and features weeks or months ahead. They want exclusivity, strong imagery and a designer with a point of view.

Weekend and lifestyle supplements

HT Brunch, Mint Lounge and the city supplements cover collections, stores and designers for a wider readership, often closer to the date.

Apparel and retail trade

Apparel Resources, Fibre2Fashion and IMAGES Business of Fashion are read by buyers, retailers and investors: expansion, sourcing, retail and funding.

Digital and creator channels

Fashion portals and creators carry looks and launches quickly. Paid creator content follows ASCI's disclosure rules.

News triggers

News triggers, the desks that run them, and the route we use.

Fashion is pitched on the image and the moment. The route depends on which title needs it first.

Sector calendar

Fashion weeks and seasons set the calendar.

Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI runs a spring edition in Mumbai (from 19 March in 2026) and a second edition later in the year (Delhi in October 2026). FDCI's India Couture Week in July and the festive and wedding seasons, from Navratri and Durga Puja to the winter wedding months, are the other peaks.

Monthlies plan their festive and wedding issues months ahead, so a label's festive collection needs to be pitched to them while it is still being shot. Supplements and portals work closer to the date.

What makes it news

The image decides, then the story.

Editors decide on the picture first: a professional lookbook, campaign images in high resolution and, for shoots, samples available on request. Then they look for the story: the designer, the craft, the collaboration or the cultural moment behind the collection.

Craft and regional textiles are strong stories when told precisely: the weave, the region, the artisans and what is new about the way the label works with them.

FAQ

Fashion PR questions

What does a fashion PR agency do?

It places a designer's or label's news, such as collections, shows, collaborations, stores and funding, with fashion and lifestyle titles, supplements, apparel trade and digital channels, timed to fashion weeks and seasons.

Which publications cover fashion in India?

Vogue India, Elle India, Harper's Bazaar India and GQ India; supplements such as HT Brunch and Mint Lounge; city supplements; and trade titles such as Apparel Resources, Fibre2Fashion and IMAGES Business of Fashion.

How far ahead should a festive collection be pitched?

Months ahead for monthly magazines, which plan festive and wedding issues early; a few weeks ahead for supplements and portals.

Do you work with fashion influencers?

Where it suits the brief. Paid creator content follows ASCI's disclosure rules, and we report it separately from editorial coverage.

Can you get a new label featured?

Yes, when the label has a story editors can use: a designer with a point of view, a craft or a collaboration. We tell you honestly if the story needs strengthening, and use sponsored, organic or a mix by the result you need.

Do you work with D2C fashion brands?

Yes. D2C fashion brands need both sides: fashion titles and supplements for the product, and startup and apparel trade desks for funding, growth and retail expansion.
