Sector calendar
Award season, the IPL and the festive quarter.
Goafest and the ABBY Awards (20 to 22 May in 2026, in Goa) and Cannes Lions in June set the awards calendar, with Effie India and other shows through the year. Agencies with shortlists and wins have a narrow window to be in coverage, so releases and assets are ready before the results.
The IPL season from March to May and the festive quarter from September to November are the biggest campaign windows, and the trade press covers them heavily. Year-end and January bring adex outlooks and predictions, where agency leaders with clear views get quoted.

What makes it news
Credits, clients and a view on the industry.
Trade editors want the facts quickly and correctly: the client, the mandate, the team, the credits. A win announced without the client's sign-off is a risk, so we agree the wording with both sides before the release goes out.
Between wins, leaders' views keep an agency in the trade press: on AI in creative work, on media fragmentation, on regional markets. Thought leadership turns those views into bylines and interviews.

FAQ
Advertising and Marketing PR questions
What is advertising and marketing PR?
It is PR for agencies, adtech companies and marketing leaders: placing account wins, appointments, campaigns, awards and views on the industry with the advertising, brand and digital trade press and the business pages.
Which trade publications cover advertising in India?
exchange4media, afaqs!, Campaign India, BestMediaInfo and Adgully for advertising and media; ETBrandEquity and Storyboard18 for brands and marketers; Social Samosa for social and digital.
How do you announce an account win?
With the client's agreement on the wording. We prepare the release and credits, clear them with both sides and pitch trade editors on the day the win can be announced.
Do you offer white-label PR for agencies?
Yes. Agencies resell our press release distribution and media relations under their own brand, with white-labelled reports for their clients.
When is the best time for agency PR?
Around the awards calendar (Goafest and the ABBYs in May, Cannes Lions in June), the IPL season and the festive quarter, when the trade press is most active, and in January for outlook pieces.
Can you build a profile for a CMO or agency leader?
Yes. Thought leadership places bylines, interviews and panel commentary in the trade and business press, built on a few positions the leader can defend.
